Selalu Blue Screen Saat Instal Windows XP

Beberapa Motherboad akan mengalami “Blue Screen” saat di instal windows XP kedalamnya, namun tidak terjadi demikian saat di instal windows 7 atau yang lebih baru. Hal itu disebabkan settingan SATA MODE pada bios.

Untuk melakukan perubahan pada settingan bios tersebut masuklah pada BIOS dengan menekan tombol “del” atau F2 atau F10 tergantung model motherboadnya. Lalu cari kata “Sata Mode” seperti gambar dibawah ini atau istilah yang sejenis dan ubah dari AHCI ke IDE.

Setelah melakukan perubahan tersebut save dan lakukan restat pada komputer yang hendak di install. Berikutnya tinggal instal windows XP seperti biasa tanpa blue screen.
Tambahan :
Lalu apa sih sebenarnya perbedaan antara IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) dan AHCI (Anvanced Host Controller Interface) itu sendiri. Berikut sedikit penjabarannya :
IDE dan AHCI merupakan setingan dari harddisk. IDE terdapat pada harddisk tipe ATA dan SATA. AHCI sendiri adalah setinggan mode raid dari harddisk SATA.
Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) adalah sebuah antarmuka pemrograman aplikasi yang dibuat oleh Intel yang memasukkan operasi Serial ATA host bus adapter.
Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE), standar lama yang masih ada. Murah, dan terintegrasi dengan MB merupakan alasan teknologi ini masih digunakan dalam setingan motherboard.
OS yang support :
AHCI tidak support di Windows XP, hanya support di OS setelah Win XP.
IDE support di Windows XP
Performa :
Jika dibandingkan dengan AHCI, kecepatan IDE kalah jauh dibandingkan AHCI. Fitur-fitur HDD seperti NCQ juga aktif kalau menggunakan AHCI mode. Intinya, manajemen hd lebih baik di AHCI
